These Matchday Hospitality Terms contain important information relating to your purchase and use of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket. Your attention is drawn to clauses 7.4, 8 and 11in particular but you should read the entire document.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Definitions
1.1 In these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings:
“Account” means the account created with your unique supporter identification number which contains details of your Matchday Hospitality Ticket booking;
“Away Club” means the football club playing against the Club;
“Car Park Terms” means the Club’s terms and conditions applicable to the use by hospitality guests of official Club car parks, a copy of which can be found here;
“Club” or “we” means The Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Limited (trading as Liverpool Football Club) and any of its affiliates;
“Club’s Official Sanctions Process” means the Club’s sanctions process which can be found here;
“Club Personnel” means the Club’s directors, officers, employees, staff, workers, contractors or agents;
“Commitment” meansthe Premier League’s Commitment Regarding Abusive and Discriminatory Conduct which can be found here;
“E-Ticket” has the meaning provided at clause 2.1;
"FAPL" means the Football Association Premier League Limited, whose registered office is at 30 Gloucester Place, London W1U 8PL;
“Football Authority” means each of the Premier League, the Women’s Super League (Women’s Professional Leagues Limited), The Football League (The Football League Limited), The Football Association (Football Association Limited), The Football Association of Wales (The Football Association of Wales Limited), FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), UEFA (Union des Associations Européennes de Football) and other relevant, successor or replacement governing body of association football;
"Ground" means the football stadium known as “Anfield” and/or any other locations owned, occupied or utilised by the Club to play Matches;
"Ground Regulations" means those ground regulations issued by the Club from time to time that set out the terms and conditions upon which spectators are granted entry to the Ground which can be found here;
"Guest" means a relative, friend, colleague and/or companion to the disabled who would be entitled to purchase a Matchday Hospitality Ticket under the Terms and Conditions of Entry and each of whom is known to the Matchday Hospitality Ticket holder.
“Home Match Conditions of Issue” means the Club’s terms and conditions applicable to the purchase and use of tickets for matches at the Ground, a copy of which can be found here;
“Hospitality Package” means the hospitality services and benefits expressly described at the time of purchase;
"Match" means any home football match in which the Club participates and that takes place at the Ground during the Season as designated upon the ticket to which these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms apply;
“Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser” means the individual named as the purchaser of the applicable Matchday Hospitality Ticket;
"Matchday Hospitality Terms" means these terms and conditions;
“Matchday Hospitality Ticket User” means in respect of a Match, the individual using the applicable Matchday Hospitality Ticket to access the Ground in order to attend said Match, such individual being either: (a) the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser; or (b) a Guest to whom the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser has distributed the applicable Matchday Hospitality Ticket;
“Matchday Hospitality Ticket” means an E-Ticket or such other ticket as the Club may provide from time to time which, subject to compliance with these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, entitles a person to: (i) attend the applicable Match to which the ticket relates; and (ii) and receive the selected Hospitality Package in relation to such Match;
“Material” means any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data.
"Premier League” means the league organised by FAPL known as “The Premier League” or its successor as the top division of the English national men’s professional football club championship;
“Season” the 2026/27 football season;
"Terms & Conditions of Entry" means together the:
(a) these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms;
(b) the Home Match Ticket Conditions of Issue;
(c) the Ground Regulations;
(d) the Commitment; and
(e) any other applicable terms and conditions as referred to on the Club’s website from time to time and any rules and regulations of any Football Authority in place from time to time;
“Ticket Distribution” means the Club’s ticket distribution process whereby eligible supporters can distribute tickets to third parties (such person being a Guest for the purposes of these Conditions of Issue);
"Tragedy Chanting” as defined in the Ground Regulations; and
“Website” means the Club’s website, currently www.liverpoolfc.com.
1.2 For the purposes of this Agreement:
1.2.1 references to persons include any individual, company, corporation, partnership, firm, joint venture, association, organisation, trust, state or agency of a state (in each case whether or not having separate legal personality);
1.2.2 references to legislation include that legislation as amended, consolidated, re-enacted, replaced or extended from time to time and any subordinate legislation made under it;
1.2.3 references to clauses, schedules or paragraphs are to clauses, schedules or paragraphs of this Agreement unless stated otherwise;
1.2.4 use of the singular includes the plural (and vice versa) unless the context requires otherwise; and
1.2.5 the words “including”, “in particular” or similar expressions are illustrative and do not limit the sense of the words preceding them.
2. Issue of Matchday Hospitality Ticket
2.1 The issue of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket and subsequent access to the Ground is subject to all components of the Terms & Conditions of Entry, each aspect of which can be accessed via the Club’s website here or which can be provided upon written request to the Club. Matchday Hospitality Tickets for disabled supporters are also subject to the applying supporter being registered as disabled with the Club.
2.2 Matchday Hospitality Tickets are for the use of supporters of the Club only. By applying for the Matchday Hospitality Ticket and/or using the same a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User hereby warrant and represent that they are a supporter of the Club.
2.3 Prices of Matchday Hospitality Tickets are shown on the Club website at your time of purchase. Please note that advertised prices for Matchday Hospitality Tickets are subject to change in the Club’s sole discretion from time to time. Any price change will not affect the price of any existing booking.
2.4 The Club may:
2.4.1 make reasonable changes to the Hospitality Package where necessary, provided that such changes do not materially reduce the overall value or quality of the Hospitality Package and provided that the Club shall use reasonable endeavours to give the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser as much notice as practicable of any such changes;
2.4.2 update the content of a Hospitality Package from time to time, provided that any such updates are of an equivalent or higher standard and do not materially alter the Hospitality Package; and
2.4.3 relocate the Hospitality Package to an alternative lounge within the Ground or to suitable external facilities in the vicinity of the Ground where reasonably necessary due to construction, redevelopment works, compliance with the laws or instructions any Football Authority or any circumstances beyond the Club’s control, provided that the alternative facilities are of comparable quality, accessibility and amenities.
2.5 If any change made pursuant to clause 2.4 materially and adversely affects the Hospitality Package, the Customer shall be entitled to such remedies as are reasonable in the circumstances, which may include an appropriate partial refund or, where the change is significant, the right to cancel the relevant booking and receive a refund of the affected portion.
2.6 The Club may require Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to verify their identity and/or to verify the security of their Matchday Hospitality Ticket and/or member account at any point in the application process and/or at any point during the Season (including but not limited to as part of Fan Update). Failure to complete such required Club processes when requested may result in a suspension or cancellation of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket.
3. Mobile Ticketing
3.1 Subject to clause 3.4 below, all Matchday Hospitality Tickets will be issued by virtue of electronic mobile tickets using near-field communication technology, or such other technology as the Club may decide to use from time to time (“E-Ticket”).
3.2 To use a Matchday Hospitality Ticket, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is required to download the E-Ticket to your mobile smartphone by following the instructions provided by the Club. It is a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s responsibility to ensure their E-Ticket is displayed correctly on a mobile smartphone in order to gain access to the Ground for a Match. Matchday Hospitality Tickets that are not displayed correctly (for example, due to a defective mobile smartphone or insufficient battery) will be rejected and they may be refused entry.
3.3 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User does not hold a compatible mobile smartphone or is unable to download or access their Matchday Hospitality Ticket via a mobile smartphone device, they must inform the Club, and the Club will discuss alternative access options that may be available depending on the circumstances. The permitting of such alternative access options is always at the Club’s sole discretion.
3.4 In the event that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User forgets the device on which their Matchday Hospitality Ticket is held in E-Ticket form, or any other ticket that may be issued to them by the Club from time to time, the Club shall not be obliged to admit the Matchday Ticket Holder or issue any other form of ticket for that Match.
4. Lost or stolen Matchday Hospitality Tickets
4.1 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User inadvertently loses, misplaces, damages or destroys a Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including losing or no longer having access to the device on which the Matchday Hospitality Ticket is stored in the form of an E-Ticket) they should report this to the Club as soon as possible.
4.2 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including the device on which the Matchday Hospitality Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form) is stolen, the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User should report this to the police, and the relevant crime number should be quoted in all correspondence with the Club.
4.3 If, in the Club’s opinion, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including the device on which a Matchday Hospitality Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form) is damaged, lost, misplaced, stolen, destroyed, or no longer functioning, a duplicate Matchday Hospitality Ticket in E-Ticket form or such other alternative ticket as the Club shall choose to provide in its sole discretion shall be issued by the Club as soon as reasonably practicable unless the Club reasonably believes that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is, or has been, acting in a fraudulent or illegal manner and/or in breach of any Terms & Conditions of Entry. In making its decision, the Club shall be entitled to request all reasonable evidence of the need for a replacement Matchday Hospitality Ticket, including (without limitation) a police crime reference number where a device and a Matchday Hospitality Ticket is stolen or evidence that the applicable device or the Matchday Hospitality Ticket is damaged. Unless decided by the Club otherwise, only one (1) duplicate Matchday Hospitality Ticket will be issued to a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and they may be required to sign a document confirming that the original Matchday Hospitality Ticket is damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed and indemnifying the Club against any direct or indirect consequences of such matter having been falsely represented or stated to the Club. The Club may require a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to attend the Ground or another location in person to collect/download the replacement Matchday Hospitality Ticket and provide the Club with satisfactory evidence of your identity.
5. Admission to the Ground
5.1 By purchasing and/or using a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to gain access to the Ground, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User:
5.1.1 certifies that they have read, understood and accepted the Terms & Conditions of Entry;
5.1.2 agrees to be bound by and to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry; and
5.1.3 agree to bring to the attention of others, as required below, the Terms & Conditions of Entry.
5.2 A Matchday Hospitality Ticket permits a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to:
5.2.1 occupy the seat indicated on the Matchday Hospitality Ticket, or such other alternative seat as the Club may allocate to a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User at its reasonable discretion, at the relevant Match for which the Matchday Hospitality Ticket has been purchased; and
5.2.2 receive the Hospitality Package at the relevant Match.
5.3 All access to the Ground pursuant to a Matchday Hospitality Ticket shall be for the purposes of private enjoyment of the Match only and not for any commercial purpose (and no authorisation is given or implied in respect of the carrying out of any commercial activities).
5.4 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User receives a car park space as part of their Hospitality Package then the use of the car park space shall be subject to the Car Park Terms.
5.5 Nothing in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms shall constitute or imply any entitlement for a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to occupy the seat indicated on the Matchday Hospitality Ticket in any subsequent Match or season.
5.6 Save as set out in clause 5.7 below, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall not capture, log, record, transmit, play, issue, show or otherwise communicate (by digital or other means) any Material in relation to a Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground, nor may they bring into the Ground or use within the Ground (or provide to, facilitate or otherwise assist another person to use within the Ground) any equipment and/or technology which is capable of capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing or otherwise communicating (whether recorded or live and by digital or other means) any such Material in relation to a Match (or any aspect of it), any players or other persons present in the Ground. Any person acting in breach of this provision may have such equipment or technology confiscated and/or may be required to deliver up any tapes, films, disks, memory cards, memory sticks or other recordings of the Material (and all copies thereof) in whatever form, to any Football Authority and/or the Club. In addition, the Club reserves the right to eject a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User from the Ground in circumstances where they are in breach of this clause 5.6.
5.7 Mobile telephones and other mobile devices are permitted within the Ground, PROVIDED THAT:
5.7.1 they are used for personal and privateuse only (which, for the avoidance of doubt and by way of example only, shall not include the capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing, sharing or any other communication of any Material for any commercial purposes); and
5.7.2 no Material that is captured, logged, recorded, transmitted, played, issued, shown or otherwise communicated by a mobile telephone or other mobile device may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including, without limitation, via social networking sites.
5.8 The copyright, database right and all other rights, title and interest in and to all Material that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User produces at the Ground in relation to a Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground itself is hereby assigned to (as applicable) any Football Authority or the Club, including by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section 91 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Each user of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket further agrees (if and whenever required to do so by any Football Authority or the Club (as applicable)) to promptly execute all instruments and do all things necessary to vest the right, title and interest in such rights to (as applicable) any Football Authority or the Club absolutely and with full title guarantee.
5.9 Save for official Club merchandise and/or other football-related clothing worn in good faith, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall not bring into, use, wear, or display within the Ground any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials.
5.10 A Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall not offer or distribute (either for free or for sale by any person) within the Ground any consumer article or commercial product of any nature. For the avoidance of doubt this clause shall not prevent the lawful distribution of text publications in any format which do not infringe clause 5.9 above where both the content and the publication are lawful in all respects and do not in the Club’s reasonable opinion constitute a threat to public order.
5.11 The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the Ground any person who fails to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry. In such circumstances, no refund or alternative seat will be offered.
5.12 Any attempt to gain access to a section of the Ground allocated to Club supporters wearing or carrying apparel (including, without limitation, hats and/or scarves) that demonstrate support for the Away Club may result in admission being refused or a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User being ejected from the Ground. In such circumstances no refund or alternative seat will be offered, nor any form of compensation or refund for missing part or all of the Match. Further, the Club reserves the right to impose further sanctions on a Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser and/or Matchday Hospitality Ticket User in such circumstances, including (by way of example only) the cancellation or withdrawal of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket, other ticketing accounts and/or participation in any Club ticketing scheme (including any membership in any Auto Cup Scheme).
5.13 Entry to the Ground is subject to the Club’s ‘No Bag Policy’, details of which can be found at: https://www.liverpoolfc.com/info/stadium-access. For the avoidance of doubt, no refund shall be due to the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User where the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is unable to attend a Match due to the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s failure to comply with this policy.
5.14 Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over within the applicable hospitality lounge and must be sat in an adjacent seat to their accompanying adult within the stadium bowl at the Ground. Each supporter under the age of 18 must have their own Matchday Hospitality Ticket.
6. Use of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket
6.1 Matchday Hospitality Tickets are issued for the sole use of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser, and the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser shall not sell, dispose of, assign or transfer the Matchday Hospitality Ticket or the benefit of it to any other person except via:
6.1.1 via Ticket Distribution in accordance with clause 13 below; or
6.1.2 any other official Club ticket transfer scheme that the Club may implement from time to time.
6.2 Where a Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser distributes a Matchday Hospitality Ticket(s) via Ticket Distribution, they may be asked by a member of the Club to provide the name and contact details of the Guest(s) who are to receive such Matchday Hospitality Ticket(s). Failure to provide such information may result in the applicable Matchday Hospitality Ticket being cancelled.
6.3 Further to the above, where a Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser distributes their ticket to a Guest, the Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser shall be responsible for the actions and omissions of that Guest as if they were their own, including without limitation the Guest’s compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
6.4 A Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall not use the Matchday Hospitality Ticket for any commercial purpose including, but not limited to, selling the Matchday Hospitality Ticket. The reference to selling a Matchday Hospitality Ticket includes (except where expressly authorised by any Football Authority or the Club (as applicable)):
6.4.1 advertising the sale of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket or the benefit of it (including, without limitation, advertising via any website, social media page or online auction site);
6.4.2 permitting a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to be offered for sale;
6.4.3 making a Matchday Hospitality Ticket available for sale by another person;
6.4.4 advertising that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket is available for purchase, which for the avoidance of doubt (and by way of example only) means that the Matchday Hospitality Ticket may not be offered as a prize in any promotion or competition;
6.4.5 transferring, lending or selling a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to any third party as part of a hospitality or travel package; and
6.4.6 giving (or offering to give) a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to a person who pays or agrees to pay for some other goods or services (or offers to do so) or used for any other commercial purpose.
6.5 A Matchday Hospitality Ticket User cannot sell or dispose of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket for an amount which exceeds the face value of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket and shall ensure that the sale or transfer does not take place during the course of any business or for the purpose of facilitating any third party’s business.
6.6 Save as where otherwise agreed by LFC, any sale of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to any third party save as expressly permitted under these terms may result in the Club refusing such third party entry into the Ground.
6.7 The unauthorised sale or disposal of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket may amount to a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. We may press for charges to be brought against those breaking this law. If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is convicted of an offence, or we reasonably suspect that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket Holder has committed such an offence, we may notify any Football Authority (as applicable) and, if necessary, other Football Authority clubs (who may in turn notify other football clubs), event holders, the police and/or the UK Football Policing Unit and/or the relevant law enforcement authorities. The information that we share may include personal data (including name, contact details, information about the offence and about ticket purchases (including payment details). We will use this to identify and prevent offences and disorder at Matches.
6.8 The Matchday Hospitality Ticket will remain the property of the Club at all times and must be produced by way of E-Ticket (or such other ticket as the Club may provide to the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User from time to time) together with photographic evidence a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s identity if required to do so by any official, steward or employee of the Club or any police officer. The Club reserves the right to require the immediate return of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket at any time.
6.9 Any Matchday Hospitality Ticket obtained or used in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry may, at the Club’s sole discretion, be void and all rights conferred or evidenced by such Matchday Hospitality Ticket may be nullified. Any person seeking to use a Matchday Hospitality Ticket in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry in order to gain entry to the Ground or remain at a Match may be considered to be a trespasser and may be refused entry to, or ejected from, the Ground in respect of a particular Match and/or may have his/her Matchday Hospitality Ticket cancelled or withdrawn.
6.10 In the event of any cancellation and withdrawal in accordance with this clause, no refund shall be payable in respect of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket. The Club reserves its right to take any legal or disciplinary action against any person(s) as it sees fit in connection with such matters, including a claim for an account of any profits made from an unauthorised use of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket.
6.11 For the avoidance of doubt each Matchday Hospitality Ticket User agrees that they will only apply for, and shall only use, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket which they are eligible for, and the Club reserves the right to refuse entry and/or take any other sanctions which the Club deems appropriate where the Club determines that an individual is using a ticket that the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is not eligible for (for example, using a concession ticket as an adult, using a personal assistance ticket without accompanying a disabled supporter etc.)
6.12 If an individual leaves the Ground at any time on the day of a Match, they will not be entitled to re-enter the Ground except where the Club expressly approves (in its sole discretion) such re-entry.
6.13 A Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser is responsible for ensuring the good and peaceable conduct of all Guests to whom they’ve distributed a ticket. A Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser and their Guest(s) will be equally responsible to the Club for any costs, claims, damages, expenses or loss incurred by the Club in respect of:
6.13.1 any damage to any Club property caused by any Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser or their Guest(s); and
6.13.2 any liability to any third party in respect of death or personal injury arising out of the use of the Ground by any Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser and/or their Guest(s), except where the same is caused by the Club’s negligence.
7. Changes to Dates, Refunds & Exchanges
7.1 No guarantees can be given by the Club that a Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date. The Club reserves the right to reschedule any Match or, if necessary, play any Match out of view of the public without fans in attendance or at reduced capacity, without notice and without any liability whatsoever, other than set out in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms. A Matchday Hospitality Ticket will enable a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to attend a re-arranged Match if such Match is to be played in view of the public with the Ground at full capacity and all fans in attendance and the Club recommends that Matchday Hospitality Ticket User visit the Club website on a regular basis in order to check the latest dates and times of Matches. Where a Match is either cancelled or played out of view of the public without fans in attendance or at reduced capacity (and a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is unable to attend the Match) a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall be entitled to receive a refund.
7.2 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser contacts the Club to cancel a Matchday Hospitality Ticket booking, the Club will be entitled to charge them the cancellation fees as follows out below. Where the Club receives notice of cancellation:
7.2.1 less than 14 days prior to the date of the Match, 100% of the total price paid for the Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including any administration charges);
7.2.2 between 15 and 30 days prior to the date of the Match 75% of the total price paid for the Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including any administration charges);
7.2.3 between 31 and 60 days prior to the date of the Match 50% of the total price paid for the Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including any administration charges); and
7.2.4 more than 60 days prior to the date of the Match 10% of the total price paid for the Matchday Hospitality Ticket (including any administration charges).
7.3 The Club shall not be obliged to provide a refund if a Hospitality Match Ticket User fails to attend a Match where said Matchday Hospitality Ticket User has not contact the Club to cancel their booking in advance.
7.4 The Club will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs, relating to any alteration of the time or date of any Match, cancellation, postponement or abandonment of a Match, a Match being played out of view of the public without fans in attendance or being played with a reduced capacity.
8. Cancellation & Withdrawal of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket
8.1 Without prejudice to the Club’s rights to cancel or withdraw a Matchday Hospitality Ticket, the Club reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the Ground any person:
8.1.1 who fails to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry;
8.1.2 whose entry into the Ground is likely to, in the reasonable opinion of the Club, result in a failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry; and
8.1.3 who is prohibited (whether by law or otherwise) from attending any football ground (including the Ground) or is the subject of criminal or civil proceedings.
8.2 Without prejudice to any other remedies it may have, the Club shall have the right in the case of any serious or persistent breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry and/or any activity in contravention of the Commitment to cancel and withdraw a Matchday Hospitality Ticket and to eject a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User from the Ground. In the event of such cancellation, no refund will be paid in respect of any unexpired portion of the Matchday Hospitality Ticket. In such cases, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s conduct may be presented to the Club’s Sanctions Panel. Please refer to the Official Club Sanctions document which is available at www.liverpoolfc.com/corporate/official-sanctions-process and which provides a guide to the sanctions that the Club may impose in the circumstances set out below. Without prejudice to the general nature of the above the following actions shall constitute a serious breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry:
8.2.1 smoking in any part of the Ground;
8.2.2 being (or appearing to be) intoxicated;
8.2.3 persistent standing in seated areas whilst the Match is in progress;
8.2.4 the sale or transfer (save as permitted in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms) of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to any person;
8.2.5 the possession of a banner or flag that bears material or slogans that are offensive, obscene, abusive or racist;
8.2.6 the deliberate misuse of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket;
8.2.7 the supply of any misleading or incorrect information in any application made to the Club;
8.2.8 the throwing of any object within the Ground that may cause injury, damage, distress or annoyance to people or property without lawful authority or excuse;
8.2.9 whether at the Ground, or, travelling to or from a Match or at any event, occasion or location linked to the Club:
8.2.10 the use of discriminatory, foul, obscene, abusive and/or racist language and/or gestures;
8.2.11 the chanting of anything of an indecent or racist and/or discriminatory nature;
8.2.12 fighting or engaging in and/or inciting violence;
8.2.13 bringing and/or using any of the following items onto Club premises and/or into the Ground: illegal drugs, other illegal substances, fireworks, firecrackers, smoke canisters, air horns, flares, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels or any item that might be used as a weapon or compromise public safety;
8.2.14 entering the playing area in the Ground or any adjacent area to which spectators are not generally admitted without lawful authority or excuse;
8.2.15 any misrepresentation in relation to clause 2.6 above;
8.2.16 breach of the terms of any Club membership (if so applicable);
8.2.17 any breach of clauses 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 above;
8.2.18 any failure to pay or default of payment in respect of any sums owing to the Club (or any third party operating on the Club’s behalf);
8.2.19 use, or where the Club suspects use, of software that is designed to enable, facilitate, gain advantage or bypass any part of the ticket purchasing process or Club account application;
8.2.20 purchase, or attempted purchase, of tickets with a view, in the Club’s reasonable opinion, to any person obtaining financial gain;
8.2.21 any actual or suspected breach of The Breaching of Limits on Ticket Sales Regulations 2018;
8.2.22 any prohibited activity as defined in the Commitment or any other activity in contravention of the Commitment; and
8.2.23 without prejudice to any of the foregoing, any other breach of the Ground Regulations.
8.3 The Club may conduct security searches where it has reason to believe that any of the breaches set down in this clause 8 have either occurred or may occur.
8.4 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is under 18 years old, his/her parent(s) and/or guardian(s) are responsible for his/her actions, conduct and compliance with the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment). This means that, for the avoidance of doubt, where a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User who is under 18 years old is subject to a Club sanction, the Club may also apply the sanction to their parent(s) and/or guardian(s).
8.5 In the event that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket is withdrawn or cancelled in accordance with clause 9 the Club reserves the right to exclude the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and/or Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser from any membership scheme maintained or organised by the Club and/or to disqualify, at its discretion, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and/or Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser from applying for tickets for any Match, and to notify any Football Authority or other football clubs of such exclusion and/or disqualification (and the reason(s) for such exclusion and/or disqualification). In addition, as set out at 9.2 above, a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and/or Matchday Hospitality Ticket Purchaser’s conduct may be subject to the Club’s Official Sanctions Process.
9. Equality and Anti-Discrimination
9.1 The Club is committed to equality and diversity, and it is important that all of our fans share the Club's principles of inclusion and the Commitment.
9.2 9.2.We require all Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users to refrain from engaging in any conduct which is racist, homophobic or abusive and to refrain from any other discriminatory behaviour, including but not limited to discriminatory behaviour in relation to the following characteristics:
9.2.1 age;
9.2.2 disability;
9.2.3 gender reassignment;
9.2.4 marriage and civil partnership;
9.2.5 pregnancy and maternity;
9.2.6 race;
9.2.7 religion or belief;
9.2.8 sex; and/or
9.2.9 sexual orientation.
9.3 Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users who engage in any of the behaviours set out at clause 9.2 may (regardless of the medium in which such behaviour takes place):
9.3.1 be subject to actions taken in accordance with Club policies on anti-discrimination as stated on the Club’s website;
9.3.2 be refused entry to or evicted from the Ground;
9.3.3 have any ticket(s) cancelled or withdrawn;
9.3.4 be prevented from purchasing tickets for future Matches and/or other non-football events which take place at the Ground;
9.3.5 be suspended or banned from entering the Ground on future occasions;
9.3.6 be subject to the Club’s Official Sanctions Process; and/or
9.3.7 be subject to prosecution in accordance with law.
10. Filming, photography and taping
10.1 All Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users who enter Club premises and/or the Ground acknowledge that photographic images, audio, visual or audio-visual recordings and/or feeds (and/or stills taken therefrom) may be taken of them and may also be used by third parties as determined by the Football Authority and/or the Club (as applicable) (including by way of example and without limitation, within televised coverage of the applicable Match, for promotional, training, editorial or marketing purposes by the Club, Club partners, the Football Authority (as applicable) and/or by accredited media organisations), and use of a Matchday Hospitality Ticket to enter the Ground constitutes consent to the use of your image in the aforementioned ways. A Matchday Hospitality Ticket User further acknowledges that photographic images, audio, visual and/or audio-visual recordings and/or feeds (and/or stills taken therefrom) may be used (subject to applicable data protection laws) by the Club and/or any appropriate third party (such as an applicable law enforcement body) to identify individuals for the purposes of preventing or detecting crime, or any breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry.
10.2 All Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users agree that the Match(es) for which the Matchday Hospitality Ticket has been purchased are public, and that their appearance and actions inside the Ground and/or on Club premises are public in nature, and that they shall have no expectation of privacy with regard to their actions or conduct at Matches.
11. Exclusion of Liability
11.1 Nothing in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms limits or excludes the liability of remedy of the Club, you or any other person for
11.1.1 death or personal injury resulting from any negligence of the Club or Club Personnel
11.1.2 fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by the Club; or
11.1.3 any liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law.
11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, neither the Club nor the Club Personnel shall have any liability (whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or restitution, or for breach of statutory duty or misrepresentation, or otherwise howsoever) and applying to both a business Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and a consumer Matchday Hospitality Ticket User (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for:
11.2.1 any loss, theft, damage or injury to a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and/or any third party or to any property, articles or possessions belonging to a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User or any third party in or upon or around the Ground or any car park;
11.2.2 any loss or damage arising from any cancellation, postponement or rearrangement of a Match in accordance with clause 6including, without limitation, any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs;
11.2.3 any failure to carry out or delay in carrying out any of the Club’s obligations under these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, including: (i) admitting a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User to the Ground; or (ii) making a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s usual or allocated seat available to them, in each case when caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control;
11.2.4 any loss, injury, costs, expenses or damage of any kind connected to your use of Ticket Distribution, including, without limitation, any liability relating to any problem with, suspension of or termination of Ticket Distribution;
11.2.5 any loss of profit, loss of use, loss of opportunity, loss of contract, loss of business, loss of business, loss of data, loss of or damage to goodwill, wasted expenditure or any indirect, economic or consequential loss or damage whatsoever.
11.3 No Football Authority nor the Club shall be responsible for any interruptions and/or restrictions to the view of the Match caused by virtue of: (a) the position of the seat; and/or (b) the actions of other spectators.
12. General
12.1 If a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User has any problem with their Matchday Hospitality Ticket, they should contact the Club using the details found here. In addition, where the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is a consumer, the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User can obtain further guidance and advice from Citizens Advice (www.adviceguide.co.uk)
12.2 The Alternative Dispute Resolution body for the Club is The Independent Football Ombudsman. The Independent Football Ombudsman can be contacted at https://www.theifo.co.uk/contact-us/.
12.3 The Club reserves the right to change these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms from time to time and shall publish such changes on the Club website if they materially affect your rights as a consumer.
12.4 Matchday Hospitality Ticket Users acknowledge that the Club will hold and process their data, which may include personal data, for administrative, security and legal purposes. The personal data that a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User provides to the Club shall be processed, stored and transferred in accordance with the terms of the Club's then current privacy policy available at https://www.liverpoolfc.com/legal/privacy-policy. In particular, the Club may share personal data, including a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s name, date of birth, contact details and information about ticket purchases (including payment details and the names of ticket holders) with other football clubs or any law enforcement agency. The Club may also share a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s data in order to support with the handling of fan enquiries and to allow for rapid identification of fans in the event of incidents including health emergencies and general crowd control emergencies. 12.5 Whilst at the Ground and/or on Club premises a Matchday Hospitality Ticket User’s personal data may be collected by and shared with other parties including, without limitation, any Football Authority and law enforcement authorities. For details on how and why personal data will be processed by such parties, please refer to the relevant party’s privacy notice.
12.6 The invalidity or partial invalidity of any provision of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms shall not prejudice or affect the remainder of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect. If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms would be valid, enforceable and legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable.
12.7 The Club’s failure to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right, power or remedy provided by these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms or by law shall not constitute a waiver of that right, power or remedy.
12.8 The Terms & Conditions of Entry constitute the entire agreement between the Club and the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User and neither the Club nor the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User shall have any claim or remedy in respect of any statement, representation, warranty or undertaking made by or on behalf of any other party in relation to the Terms & Conditions of Entry which is not set out therein.
12.9 If there is any conflict, ambiguity or inconsistency between any provision of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms and any provision of the Ground Regulations, the relevant provision of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms shall take precedence.
12.10 Notwithstanding any other provision in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms and with the exception of any Football Authority, no other person other than the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User or the Club has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to rely on or enforce any term of these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms. Nothing in these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms shall affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available other than as a result of the aforementioned Act.
12.11 These Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms and any dispute, disagreement or claim arising out of or in connection with these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes and claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales for the purposes of resolving any dispute, disagreement or claim arising out of or in connection with these Matchday Hospitality Ticket Terms, their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes and claims). Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Matchday Hospitality Ticket User is a consumer and: (i) is resident in Scotland then legal proceedings may be brought in either the Scottish or the English courts; or (ii) is resident in Northern Ireland, then legal proceedings may be brought in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
