The Reds get the new season under way by facing the Magpies in a 4.30pm BST kick-off at St. James’ Park.
Stuart Attwell will referee the fixture, assisted by Constantine Hatzidakis and Lee Betts. Tony Harrington is the fourth official.
On VAR duty is James Bell, assisted by Edward Smart.
