Watch | Ronald Araujo meets young Liverpool fan to complete Villarreal celebration
Ronald Araujo met with a young Liverpool supporter at the AXA Training Centre on Friday to complete his memorable Villarreal celebration.
The defender scored in his second successive Champions League fixture for the Reds in midweek against the La Liga outfit at Anfield.
In doing so, the momentum gathered from his header took him into the crowd to celebrate with supporters in the Anfield Road Stand behind the goal.
As Araujo celebrated with fans after levelling the game, Leigh Fairclough captured footage of the moment and shared the video online.
Her daughter Paisley, however, missed out on a hug after being left open-mouthed by what unfolded – leading the defender to invite her and the rest of the family to Kirkby, where they also met captain Virgil van Dijk and head coach Andoni Iraola.
Paisley, along with her brother Louis and sister Evie, suffers from type one diabetes, with mum Leigh and partner Lewis helping raise awareness across social media – find out more here.
