The Reds get their 2026-27 campaign in the competition under way on Wednesday when they host Atletico Madrid at the Kirkby Academy.
Kick-off is 3pm BST and the game can be watched live on All Red Video and LFCTV.
It is the beginning of a fixture schedule that will see Page's group face the corresponding first six clubs that the senior team are set to meet in the Champions League, home and away.
Liverpool reached the Round of 32 last season before being defeated 2-1 by MSK Zilina in front of more than 10,000 fans in Slovenia.
Ahead of this term's opening match with Atletico, read on as Page speaks to Liverpoolfc.com about the challenges and benefits ahead in the Youth League.
On the start of a new Youth League campaign…
It was a great experience for the lads last year and to get through to the knockout stages was a real bonus for us. It's a competition we enjoy playing in, it gives the lads a taste of something different, a different style of play. We are up against some technically very good teams and we have to match that first and foremost. We start at home against Atletico and we need to impose ourselves on them and show what it means to represent Liverpool and wear the jersey.
On the challenge of facing Atletico after a goalless draw with them in Kirkby last season…
It was an entertaining game. They showed their qualities as you can imagine, but we managed to find our way in the game. Technically they are a very good team and there is a little bit of physicality about them as well. We've watched three previous games they have played and they are capable of scoring goals. We are going to have to be at our best, like we have to be when we face any European side. We are looking forward to this challenge and the only way our lads are going to improve is by putting them up against these good teams.
On having Will Wright available in the U19s squad…
That's good for us and good for Will. In the game against Atletico last season he picked up an unfortunate injury which kept him out for a while. He has done ever so well on his return, he has been in and around the first team, he is scoring goals for us in the U21s. He is still eligible to play in the U19 team and this is a game he is relishing and really looking forward to. He was a big miss to us in this competition last season. Everybody has seen what Will is all about and even on not-so-great days he is still capable of scoring goals. That's a good sign of a striker.
On a great opportunity for some of the younger players in the squad…
We've got a great core group of young players coming through. It's an opportunity to expose them to this style of top-level football and help develop them. Some of our younger lads have played international football so they will be used to playing against some of the quality they are going to face in these games.
On working alongside U18s head coach Simon Wiles again with the U19s group…
We've got a great relationship me and Wilesy, and the bulk of the lads in our squad will come from the U18s plus a few from my U21s side. He works with the bulk of the squad day in, day out, so he knows them on and off the pitch so it just makes complete sense to bring us both together. It worked well last year and I'm looking forward to working with Wilesy again.
