Legends support official opening of new Forever Reds Lounge at Anfield
Liverpool FC has officially opened the new Forever Reds Lounge at Anfield, marking another important milestone in the club's commitment to its former players and the local community.

The special event brought together former players and representatives from local charities that have benefited from fundraising and donations generated through the official former players association.
Founded by the club in 2018, Forever Reds was created to ensure former players always remain part of the LFC family. The programme provides support for former players and encourages their involvement in community initiatives and fundraising activities.
Since its launch, Forever Reds has donated an impressive £590,000 to support former players and charitable causes across the Liverpool City Region. Funding distributed in partnership with LFC Foundation has supported projects focused on health, wellbeing and community care, making a meaningful difference to thousands of people throughout the region.
Former players attending the opening event included Forever Reds chairman John Aldridge, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Sammy Lee, Becky Easton, Steve McMahon, Ian Callaghan and Natasha Dowie.
The new Forever Reds Lounge will serve a dual purpose within Anfield. It will operate as a hospitality space for supporters on matchdays, while on non-matchdays it will become a dedicated community hub hosting events and activities delivered by LFC Foundation and Red Neighbours teams.
Speaking at the event, Jonathan Bamber, LFC's chief legal and external affairs officer and executive sponsor of Forever Reds, said: "Today is an opportunity to celebrate not only this wonderful new space, but also the incredible community that Forever Reds has built over the years.
"We are delighted to be joined by members of Forever Reds and representatives from local charities that have benefited from their support. The success of Forever Reds is a testament to the generosity and commitment of everyone involved, helping to improve lives both within the Liverpool FC family and across our local communities."
Aldridge added: "The new lounge stands as a lasting reminder of the positive impact Forever Reds continues to make across the club and community. It's great to be here to celebrate the work by Forever Reds and meet those charity groups who've benefited from our fundraising."
The next fundraising event for Forever Reds will be the Christmas Lunch, taking place on Friday December 4. It is almost sold out and will feature a wide range of club legends – including Rush, Dowie, Phil Thompson and David Fairclough. Purchase tickets here.
