For many managers, the difference between winning your mini-leagues and coming second is investing in the right 'differentials'.
Differentials are players who are owned by under 10 per cent of FPL managers.
These players are important as they can have the biggest impact on your rank as they help to differentiate your side from the teams around you in the standings.
Here are three great differentials from Liverpool to potentially invest in as the Premier League returns this weekend.
Jeremy Jacquet (£5.0m)
Jacquet has started all five Premier League matches in a centre-back pairing with club captain Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m).
The summer arrival has registered 24 points in FPL so far courtesy of three clean sheets, two defensive contribution points and three bonus points.
Defenders can register two defensive contributions points in each fixture of the season. To do this, they need to record 10 defensive actions (clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles).
Jacquet registered 11 against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 2, but narrowly missed out on these extra points in Gameweek 3 and 5 as he recorded nine and eight defensive actions respectively.
The France international has also shown attacking threat having created three chances for his teammates. The defender is currently averaging 4.8 points per start but is currently found in just 3.5 per cent of FPL teams.
Bradley Barcola (£8.0m)
Barcola has started two Premier League games and made three league appearances overall since his transfer to the Reds this summer.
And his underlying numbers suggest that attacking returns are coming, including one big chance and two chances created for his teammates so far.
The winger scored 21 goals and registered 18 assists in 58 matches in all competitions during the 2024-2025 season for Paris Saint-Germain. This was only bettered by eight players from Europe’s top five leagues.
He also created 27 big chances and had 51 big chances himself.
During the 2025-26 campaign he returned 13 goals and six assists in all competitions.
Barcola is currently owned by just 1.9 per cent of FPL managers, and this could be a great time to invest.
Ronald Araujo (£5.4m)
Araujo has been deployed mostly at right-back in the league this season. However, he did play at centre-back in the Carabao Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
He has played a part in all five league fixtures in 2026-27, starting the last three, in which Liverpool have kept three consecutive clean sheets.
Araujo, like Jacquet, has also registered two defensive contribution points and he picked up a bonus point in the Gameweek 5 win over AFC Bournemouth.
From an attacking perspective, meanwhile, he has supplied eight crosses for his teammates to date.
The Uruguayan is currently averaging seven points per start and would be a good differential for managers as he is currently found in just three per cent of FPL teams.
