Florian Wirtz injury update
Andoni Iraola is confident the injury Florian Wirtz sustained during Sunday's win over Brighton & Hove Albion is not serious.
The midfielder picked up an ankle knock during a challenge and was replaced by Trey Nyoni after 65 minutes of the Reds’ 2-0 victory in the Premier League clash at Anfield.
Wirtz will now undergo assessment by the club's medical team; however, early indications suggest it is not a significant issue.
"Unfortunately, he had to leave the pitch with a small twist of the ankle," said head coach Iraola post-match.
"It doesn't look very big but we are playing every three days so we need to see where he is."
