The Liverpool No.11 was confirmed as one of 10 nominees for the accolade by the Confederation of African Football on Wednesday.
Salah, of course, was a spearhead of the Reds’ Premier League title success last season, topping the division’s charts for both goals (29) and assists (18), leading to a host of individual honours in recognition of his campaign.
Earlier this month, meanwhile, he helped Egypt secure qualification to the 2026 World Cup.
