Check out some of the key dates for Liverpool’s men’s team in the four competitions they will be involved in during 2026-27.

Premier League

The next top-flight campaign will begin on Sunday August 23 for the Reds with a trip to Newcastle United.

The fixture schedule was announced on Friday June 19, with amendments for television coverage to follow.

There will be 33 weekend rounds of games and five midweek sets of matches to make up the calendar.

Sunday May 30 will bring the conclusion of the season with 10 matches kicking off simultaneously.

Champions League

The draw for the Champions League’s league phase will be held on Thursday August 27.

Eight matchdays will then take place on September 8/9/10, October 13/14, October 20/21, November 3/4, November 24/25, December 8/9, January 19/20 and January 27.

The knockout round play-offs will be on February 16/17 and 23/24, followed by the last-16 ties across March 9/10 and 16/17.

Quarter-finals are scheduled for April 6/7 and 13/14, while the semi-finals will be played on April 27/28 and May 4/5.

The final – at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid – is on Saturday June 5.

Carabao Cup

Participation in European football means Liverpool will commence their Carabao Cup campaign in round three, playing their opening tie in the week beginning September 14.

Round four follows in the week of October 26, round five the week of December 14, and the two legged semi-finals are pencilled in for the weeks of January 11 and February 1.

The final will be contested on Sunday March 21.

Emirates FA Cup

The Reds will also enter the FA Cup at the third-round stage, which is slated for the weekend of January 9/10.

Subsequent rounds are confirmed for the weekends of February 13/14 (round four), March 6/7 (round five), April 3/4 (quarter-finals) and April 24/25 (semi-finals).

The final is set for Saturday May 22.

International breaks

A restructuring of the international match calendar means the first break of 2026-27 will begin on September 21.

Up to four matches can be played by countries until October 6.

International windows featuring two games follow in November (9-17) and March (22-30).

Meanwhile, the AFC Asian Cup is due to take place from January 7 to February 5.

Transfer windows

The Premier League’s summer transfer window has now officially opened.

It will close at 11pm BST on Tuesday September 1.

Clubs in the English top flight will be able to conduct business again for a month-long period in the New Year.

The winter transfer window opens on Friday January 1 and closes at 11pm GMT on Monday February 1.
